New – More Value, More Fun This Year

We’ve made some exciting changes to our 2023 Annual Meeting to make sure it meets members’ needs and delivers great value:

Full-day workshop on Wednesday June 14: New for this year’s Member Education Forum and Co-operative Management Conference is a pre-conference full-day workshop on Wednesday, June 14.

Virtual National Business Meeting option: we’re piloting a virtual meeting option this year for the National Business Meeting only, providing delegates the ability to vote and participate online, as well as view speakers and other programming scheduled for Saturday. This option offers a more inclusive and climate friendly solution by reducing carbon emissions associated with travel.

Reduced delegate registration fee: To help co-ops save even more, we’ve reduced the in-person delegate fee to $900, a savings of $150 from last year.

Plenary breakfast: A hot breakfast on Friday morning is now included in the full registration fee. You’ll hear from Marie-Josée Houle, Canada’s first federal housing advocate while enjoying the company of your fellow conference attendees.

More networking events: In addition to our local social on Friday night, there will also be a welcome reception and two optional social events on Thursday evening.

Special speakers and performances: Our National Business Meeting will feature an engaging presentation by Gabrielle Fayant, co-founder of the Assembly of Seven Generations (A7G).

Donating leftover food: We’re partnering with La Tablée des Chefs, an organization that ensures any leftover food from our conference will be donated safely to community members in need.
