Join us for an interactive day of co-op education! The board and members play a big role in a co-op’s success, both as a business and as a community.
Come and learn about the difference in governance and management. We’ll discuss the roles of the board, members and management and the board’s legal accountability and obligations. We’ll also cover what is involved in being a good director.
Whether you are new to the co-op, thinking about running for the board, or just want a refresher; you’ll benefit from this session.
Workshop Fees: $100 plus HST per co-op (unlimited participation by your members and board)
Lunch and refreshments provided
Facilitator: Janine MacDonald: Over the last 30 years, Janine has been a co-op member, a co-op manager and a facilitator. Her enthusiasm for the sector and wealth of knowledge, coupled with a good sense of humour make her an entertaining workshop leader. Come prepared to learn, laugh and have fun!
