Sustainable Affordable Housing Initiative WEBINAR
Is your co-operative planning energy retrofits? Are you interested in developing a new capital project and could use support to improve your buildings’ energy performance? JOIN this webinar to learn how to apply for sustainable affordable housing funding available now through the Federation of Canadian Municipalities (FCM) Green Municipal Fund. On March 15th, the FCM launched a new $300 million initiative to support local affordable housing providers, including housing co-ops, to retrofit their existing housing, or build new, energy-efficient units that emit lower GHG emissions. The Sustainable Affordable Housing (SAH) initiative assists housing co-ops with grants, loans and capacity-building opportunities. Whether you’re just getting started or already have a project in the works, this funding can help co-ops across the country reduce energy and GHG intensity, increase housing affordability, improve building quality, and increase the comfort, health and quality of life for members. FCM’s Sustainable Affordable Housing initiative is delivered through their Green Municipal Fund and funded by the Government of Canada. This is an exciting opportunity to access sustainability funding and we encourage all members to attend this webinar and see how this could work for you.
Join us for this webinar on Wednesday, July 8, from 1:30 to 3:00 pm EST to learn how to apply for sustainable affordable housing funding available now through the Federation of Canadian Municipalities (FCM) Green Municipal Fund.
Please note: Members of member Co-ops will get free access to our educational resources once registration is complete.
