Anne Davidson
Anne lives in Granville Gardens Co-op in Richmond BC and has been active in her co-op for over 35 years on the Board and Committees. She is currently the President of her co-op.
Anne’s family moved to Canada when she was in her teens and moving into the co-op with her own family was the first time she felt the same sense of home as she had in Scotland. Living in a community where you know all your neighbours is what she values most along with having a safe, affordable home. That’s what she wants for everyone who needs a home.
It was not until Anne retired from her job as a senior union staff position that she was able to get involved in the broader co-op sector. She was first elected to the CHF Canada board as the BC and Yukon Director. She later served as President of CHF Canada and more recently as an at large Director.
Anne currently serves on the boards of CHF BC and the Agency for Co-operative Housing and finds that the knowledge and experience gained on those boards is a tremendous asset. Anne is involved in a number of other organizations supporting seniors as well as serving community meals for low income people. Maintaining subsidies for low income members is a priority for Anne.
