Success Stories

People from all over Canada are coming together to create co-ops!

There are success stories from across the country. Whether the co-op is a new construction, acquisition, conversion or amalgamation; people are finding home.

We help Canadians find new homes on four key ways!

Amalgamation

Combining existing co-operatives to create stronger, more resilient organizations with shared resources, improved governance capacity, and economies of scale.

Acquisition

Purchasing existing rental properties and transferring them into co-operative ownership to preserve affordability and protect tenants from market pressures.

Conversion

Transforming rental buildings—often market-rate or government-assisted—into co-operatives, empowering tenants to become members with democratic control and long-term housing security.

New Construction

Developing new co-operative housing projects to meet growing demand, increase supply, and create inclusive communities rooted in co-op principles.
