  • Sharing Circle for Staff and Managers

    1:15 – 2:30 pm EST Topic: Aging in place  Co-op staff and managers are invited to participate in our monthly Sharing Circles! A virtual discussion series with your colleagues, as well as subject matter experts, and CHF Canada staff. Participants will have the opportunity to hear from sector experts on topics relevant to co-op staff and management, to discuss their learnings and exchange ideas in an open discussion forum, as well as in smaller breakout groups. These are free events, hosted on Zoom. Registration is required. Participants must be either housing co-op staff or managers.

    4:30 - 6:00PM EST Staying Safe and Savvy Online: Protecting Yourself from Scams and Threats This 90‑minute online info-session is designed to give older adults the practical skills for navigating the digital world safely. The session responds to the growing risk of online fraud by cutting through technical jargon and focusing on clear, actionable tips to protect personal information, finances, and peace of mind. The presentation is organized around three core focus areas: • Recognizing and avoiding common scams, including phishing emails, fraudulent phone calls, and offline scams. • Implementing essential safety strategies such as strong passwords, device protection, and safe Wi‑Fi use. • Knowing what to do if fraud does occur. Participants are guided through immediate response steps, reporting and recovery options involving police, credit bureaus, and government services, and are provided with trusted resources for continued learning. Time for questions and discussion will be available. The session will be recorded.
