Building condition assessments

Understanding the condition of your buildings is the starting point for your co-op’s long term planning process, CHF Canada can help you get a Building Condition Assessment (BCA) and can help you be certain that you have a high quality report. We have full procurement services for BCA’s designed specifically for Housing co-operatives.

Asset management plans

Co-ops need to know not just what to repair but when, how much, where the funds can come from to pay for all the work, and whether the co-op can preserve the affordability mandate at the end of its operating agreement.

At CHF Canada we have developed a full long term planning service to consider the quality of member homes, the costs of repair, the sources of funding and the long-term future of the community.

Our asset management plans provide a review of your building conditions, capital plans for the future, long term operating budgets and advice about whether or not your co-op needs to, or would benefit from additional financing. We will work together with you to develop a plan to help ensure your co-ops long term viability.

Procurement of specialized building reports such as building envelope studies, designated substance surveys and indoor air quality can be important parts of understanding issues and costs related to your co-op buildings.
