Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation (CMHC) recently made changes to streamline the application process for the Community Housing Preservation Fund. This fund is designed to help housing providers, including co-ops, complete preservation activities.
We had heard from members that the original application process was long and complicated, and there was uncertainty in accessing the funding. We’re pleased to see CMHC make updates to its application process, in response to our feedback.
This fund is available for community housing providers (including co-ops) either currently or previously subject to a federally-administered operating agreement.
