CHF Canada’s Asset and Financial Planning Services team understands your needs. We will provide you with a plan to help ensure your co-op delivers members the desired services into the long-term.
Our program has a solid track record:
- From 2015 to 2020, CHF Canada completed over 175 asset management plans for our member co-ops. The demand for our asset management services increased significantly, more than doubling from 2017 to 2020. We expect to continue assisting our members with their long-term planning and sustainability.
- CHF Canada’s Financial Planning Services has helped more than 45 co-ops secure more than $165 million dollars in funding to complete repairs and renovations.
- We completed more than 65 BCAs from 2017 to 2020.
- Since 2015, over 50 co-ops have accessed our project management services either through tendering a request for proposal or through direct access with our partners, HSC and IRC.

Ofelia Guanlao is a Senior Program Manager in Asset Management Services and serves co-ops across Canada. She is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP), a LEED Green Associate (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design), and holds a Building Operator Certification (BOC 1) by the Northwest Energy Efficiency Council (NEEC). Ofelia has over 16 years of experience in energy management, property management, and multi-residential buildings. She has a Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA). Ofelia possesses the skills and knowledge to transform co-operative homes to be more comfortable, energy-efficient and environmentally sustainable.
Rajathi Ratnasiri is a Program Manager in Asset Management Services. She is working with housing co-ops across the country to develop Asset Management Plans to ensure co-ops’ sustainability for the long term. Rajathi has a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation with an expertise in financial analysis and planning, and over five years of experience working in the real estate industry.
David Howard manages a team of experienced consultants as CHF Canada’s Program Manager, Financial Planning Services. He has been very involved in co-op housing for over 25 years as a co-op manager, federation board member, and 10 years with the Agency for Co-operative Housing.
Catherine Cummings is the Co-ordinator for Asset Management and Financial Planning Services. She provides support to the team and assists member co-ops as they move through the process of obtaining technical reports and financing.
