If your co-op is heading into the end of its operating agreement and/or if your co-op is looking at ways to finance future capital repairs.  This is the most important tool you will need.  The experience was great from start to finish.

Working closely with Ofelia Guanlao she actively researched and reviewed our Building Condition Assessments and our financials and came up with a plan both short term and long term. Numbers in clear and concise format and easy to understand for boards and co-op members. With year to year recommendations for capital repairs and recommended housing charge increase made it easy for our membership to understand what needs to be done and how we go about saving and funding it.

If you need money for the future, it provides the forecast information which banks and credit unions require to get you that money.  What I really like is it lays out a capital plan short term and long term.

Budget prep and approval is a breeze now as we know as a co-op the minimum increases we need each year in order to get our improvements done. Well worth the money and the best thing you can do for your co-op.

CHF Canada helped Kawartha Village Co-op with our variety of renovation projects from start to finish.

These included:  bathroom & kitchen replacements, new garage doors, flooring and the replacement of our roadways and driveways. CHF Canada helped us to procure a BCA, develop an Asset Management Plan, arrange financing and provided us with project management services.

Having an experienced project manager like Housing Service Corporation, in partnership with CHF Canada, was crucial to the successful implementation of multiple projects.  We couldn’t have done it without their expertise and support.

We are pleased to say that all of our renovations have now been completed and our members couldn’t be happier.  Many thanks to CHF Canada and their team for assisting us through a complex project.
