CHF Canada supports changes to permanently allow electronic or telephonic meetings

In a submission to the Province of Ontario today, CHF Canada voiced strong support for changes to the Co-operative Corporations Act to permanently allow electronic or telephonic meetings for non-profit housing co-operatives, if allowed by the co-op’s by-laws.

In our advice to the government we highlighted that the permanent changes should be made with an aim to improve member participation, allow for more effective and efficient business practices, while balancing the need for clear rules, fairness and privacy.
