The following provinces and territories do not have specific private sector privacy legislation, instead Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) applies in these regions: Newfoundland and Labrador, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island, Yukon, Northwest Territories, and Nunavut.
