Rooftops Canada Board opening

Rooftops CanadaRooftops Canada, a Canadian charitable organization, is the international program of Canada’s co-op and social housing movements.

Rooftops Canada works with local and global partners to improve housing and build sustainable communities in the Global South. It is committed to promoting housing rights, gender equality and good governance while engaging Canadians in addressing poverty and inequality overseas. The primary geographic focus is Sub-Saharan Africa. Rooftops Canada celebrated 35 years of success in 2020.

They are looking for a new board member to represent CHF Canada members and associates in Ontario starting in September 2021 for a three-year term (renewable once).

For this position, candidates must live or work in a CHF Canada member housing co-op or organization in Ontario.

This eight-person board typically meets four times a year. Board members also participate in task teams as needed and work with staff on fundraising, outreach and education.
