WE RESOLVE:

1. THAT Ontario members renew their endorsement of the You Hold the Key – Fix the Co-op Housing Crunch campaign which calls on all three levels of government to act together to protect low-income members in federal housing co-ops with expiring operating agreements;
2. THAT Ontario members call on the Province of Ontario and municipal governments to take a leadership role and commit now to ensuring that our low-income members living in affected co-ops will not lose their rent supplements when their co-ops’ operating agreements end;
3. AND THATT in light of the upcoming federal election, we call on all co-ops in the province – both federal and municipally administered – to redouble their efforts and take an active role in this campaign by speaking out for co-ops, taking part in CHF Canada’s and regional federations’ political events in your area, engaging in the online campaign and passing the You Hold the Key resolution.
