We invite you to bring your government relations experience to the full-time position of Program Manager, Policy and Government Relations in our Ottawa office. Reporting to the Manager, Government Relations, you will be responsible for developing and implementing our government relations program in support of the growth and successful operation of the non-profit co-operative housing sector in Canada. You will also play a key role in policy research and analysis, enabling CHF Canada to act legitimately and authoritatively as a voice for affordable and co-operative housing solutions and housing policy innovations.

We’re looking for someone

  •  with a proven and extensive track record in government relations and experience, particularly at the federal political level
  • with excellent oral and written communication skills in English (bilingualism French/English is preferred) as well as superior organizational skills
  • who will exercise sound political judgement and excellent political organizing skills
  • with a university degree in a related field or equivalent experience. Knowledge of social housing in Canada, including co-operative housing programs, is essential.

The preferred start date for the position is March 1, 2019. The position is located in Ottawa, with some travel expected. The ability to work some evenings and weekends is required.
