November 22nd is National Housing Day

Published November 08, 2021

The huge response to the Vote Housing campaign made it clear that housing and homelessness are key issues for Canadians. It is fitting that the first day that the newly elected Parliament is sitting this year, November 22nd, is also National Housing Day.

Here is what CHF Canada wants to see the new Parliament prioritize:

  • dedicated federal investment in the development and acquisition of new co-op housing;
  • long-term rental assistance for low-income households in co-ops; and
  • an urban, rural and northern Indigenous housing strategy, with dedicated investment.

CHF Canada will continue to advocate for these priorities on behalf of our members.
