Celebrate your co-op’s success: apply for the Co-operative Achievement Award

The Award for Co-operative Achievement celebrates an inspiring program or project by a CHF Canada member co-op that creates a lasting legacy. The Award is given out every two years and showcases why housing co-ops are remarkable places to live.

If your housing co-op has a success story to share, consider submitting a nomination for some national recognition!

Criteria

To be honoured with the Award for Co-operative Achievement, a co-op must be a member of CHF Canada and fulfill one or more of the following criteria:

• Dedication to social change, community development and/or environmental sustainability
• Outstanding achievement in co-operative governance and/or management
• Significant engagement of young co-operative members or those members from underrepresented groups (diversity), or support of aging-in-place measures
• Have added new units or redeveloped to contribute to the growth of Canada’s co-op housing movement

Past recipients have been recognized for projects that have supported a diverse membership, built community, or supported environmental sustainability.

The winner will be honored at CHF Canada’s Annual Meeting and rewarded $2,500.
