How CHF Canada is working on combatting anti-Black racism

In June 2020, we put out a statement affirming that Black Lives Matter.
Since then, we’ve been working to find the best ways for CHF Canada to support the movement for Black lives.
The projects we’ve identified include:
- Expanding our anti-racism and anti-bias training for our Board, Council, and staff
- Conducting a diversity, equity, and inclusion audit to understand our organizational strengths and weaknesses, and identify and implement concrete steps to ensure that our organization’s policy and practices support diversity, equity, and inclusion
- Continuing to offer educational resources to our members to promote equity, inclusion, reconciliation, and anti-racism within housing co-ops
This work will continue long-term, and we will continue to update our members as it progresses.
