Co-operative young leaders camp: Co-operative housing week

We are very pleased to announce that the co-op housing sector is working with the Ontario Co-operative Association to host a week at the Co-operative Young Leaders (CYL) camp this summer!

The CYL program is a week-long overnight leadership camp that gives youth ages 13 to 16 the opportunity to enhance their leadership skills, build confidence and courage, and form lifelong friendships. Over many years, CYL has had the privilege of welcoming youth from the housing co-op sector who graduate from the program and often return to join our facilitation team.

The CYL co-op housing week will take place from Saturday, August 8 to Friday, August 14 at the Lake St. George Field Centre in Richmond Hill, ON.

This week will welcome guest speakers from the co-op housing sector, provide youth with an opportunity to participate in co-operative activities and sports, share ideas, earn volunteer hours for school, and build a network of support they can access long after camp has ended.
