Your collective energy and advocacy over the past many weeks in the lead up to the federal election has been admirable and inspiring. We had a short window of time to make an impact in this election, and with your support, we helped make co-op housing part of the conversation.

CHF Canada’s campaign Build Co-op Housing, Build a Better Future had strong engagement among co-op members and supporters. From in-person events to our online campaign to local action, we raised our voices to advance co-op housing as a solution to all candidates and political parties.

Our message was clear: investing in co-op housing is investing in a future for everyone. Co-op housing creates lasting communities, economic prosperity and a stable foundation for people to call home.

Engaging candidates

Together, we reached hundreds of candidates in this election. People like you took the time to use our online tool to email their local candidates, asked questions when candidates came knocking and attended campaign events in Toronto, Winnipeg, Edmonton and Saint John.

Sharing stories and building our movement

Through op-eds, letters-to-the-editor, social media, posters, and advertising, we reached new people who contributed their voice to our movement. Your stories are powerful because they showcase exactly why co-op housing is a solution worth investing in.
